Case 01 — A Nordic TSO

Automatic Pylon Inspection

Traditional drone inspections drowned a Nordic TSO in data: 100+ images per pylon, framed by whatever the pilot chose to focus on that day. The overview was lost, analysis was slow, and no two inspections could be compared.

We reduced the capture to under 16 images per pylon using a high-resolution camera — each image planned in advance and repeated identically from tower to tower, year after year. We developed the software and hardware into a complete inspection system that we still operate today. Every pylon is documented equally, analysis is faster, and the consistent historical record makes it possible for AI to find defects by comparing the same view across years.

The Challenge

100+ images per pylon, framed at the pilot's discretion — the overview was lost and inspections could not be compared.

02

Our Approach

Automated flight plans capturing under 16 identical, ultra-high-resolution images per pylon.

03

The Result

Equal documentation of every pylon, year after year — a historical dataset ready for AI defect detection.
